Examination Rules

A recent examination system has been designed and developed by CBSE, i.e. dual scheme of examination for classs- X known as scheme 1 and scheme 2 shall discontinued for students appearing in STD-X from academic year 2017-8 and onwards. The examination from academic year 2017-18 and onwards will be conducted as per remodel assessment structure.
The new remodel assessment will be implemented from Std-III to STD-X (STD-X will beboard based).
The system has been broadly categorizes into 3 areas namely 1. Scholastic Area 2. Co-Scholastic Area 3. Discipline.
The Scholastic Area comprises 100 Marks and further divided into 2 parts i.e 80 marks for Board Exams (Board based) and 20 marks for internal assessment (school based).
This has to ensure that students have to secure 33% marks (out of 80) and 33% marks (out of 20) in each subject for both Board based and school based (internal assessment).
Internal assesssment of 20 marks has been further divided into 3 parts
(i) 10 marks for Periodic Test ( maximum 3 periodic test):
Permid-Term(PT-I) in the month of July-August, Mid-Term(PT-II) in the month of November and Postmid-Term(PT-III) in the month of January
There will be maximum three periodic tests in an academic year for each subject out of which average of best two tests will be taken for Final submission.
(ii) Note books submission (5 marks):
Note books submission as a part of assessment is aimed at enhancing seriousness of students towards preparing class notes for the topics that have been taught in classroom as well as given in assignments. This addresses the aspect of regularity, punctuality, neatness and good condition of notebook.
(iii) Subject Enrichment activities (5 marks):
These are subject specific application activities aimed at enrichment of the understanding and skill development of student. These activities are to be recorded internally by respective subject teachers such as for languages - speaking and listening skills, for mathematics - laboratory activities and projects, for science- practical works/activities, and for social science - map and project work.
